Summary

Who we are

This website is run by Digital Seller Tools, which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us by email using the address on the Contact page.

Information you enter into the tools

Prices, fees and other figures you enter into the calculators are processed by JavaScript in your own browser. They are not transmitted to us, stored on our servers or shared with anyone. When you close or reload the page, they are gone.

Local storage on your device

The Launch Checklist has an optional setting called "Save my progress on this device". If you turn it on, the list of items you have ticked is stored in your browser's local storage under the name dst-launch-checklist-v1. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and contains no personal information. Turning the setting off deletes it. You can also clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to see which pages and tools are used, how people find the site and which country and type of device they use. This helps us decide what to improve and which tools to build next.

Google Analytics only runs if you click Accept analytics on the cookie banner. Until then, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

It collects information such as the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city level, worked out from your IP address), your browser and device, the website that sent you here, and a few events: when a calculator is used (the tool name only), when a file is downloaded, when a Buy me a coffee button is clicked and when the email button is clicked. The numbers you type into the calculators are never sent. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for 2 months and then deleted.

Our lawful basis is your consent. Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK, under its own safeguards. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

Your cookie choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage under the name dst-cookie-consent-v1, so we do not ask on every page. It contains only "granted" or "denied".

The Buy me a coffee buttons are ordinary links to Buy Me a Coffee. This site loads nothing from Buy Me a Coffee. When you follow one of those links, you leave this site, and Buy Me a Coffee's own privacy policy and cookies apply on its pages.

Website hosting

Like any website, this site is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers may automatically record technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running.

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes this technical information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail). We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Free downloads

Downloading a file from this site does not need an account or an email address, and we do not collect any personal information when you download.

Supporting the site

If you choose to buy us a coffee, the payment is handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers. You give your payment details to them, not to this website. We receive the name you choose to show, any message you write, the amount and, depending on your settings, your email address. We use this only to see and thank supporters. See Buy Me a Coffee's Privacy Policy.

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, such as selling platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies when you visit them.

Advertising and affiliate links

This site does not currently show advertising or contain affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this policy and clearly label affiliate links before they appear.

Children

This site is intended for adults running a business. It is not directed at children.

Your rights

The free tools do not collect personal information. If you have emailed us or supported the site, you can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it where the law allows.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, to analytics cookies). To use any of these rights, contact us using the email address on the Contact page. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
